What is going to happen in 2014 and 2015?

FLIP staff exchanges & training - Throughout the duration of FLIP, a number of regular staff exchanges are expected to allow the partners to gain increased knowledge on the key issues tackled by the project,i.e.port masterplanning, port development, port economic diversification and port infrastructure adaptation.A language training will also be organised for the French port staff (managers and technicians) in Brixham in September 2014 to enable future smoother communication with their counterparts on the other side of the Channel, thus better meeting their respective end users´ demands.FLIP reports - Research is another important component of the FLIP project. A series of reports will, in fact, be drawn up by the FLIP partners under the common shared themes:

• “Towards common approaches in master planning, local governance and the strategic capacity of small and medium sized ports”
• “Innovative and sustainable approaches to the adaptation and diversification of small and medium ports in the Channel area”
• “Sharing and developing knowledge of new management systems in ports to improve resource efficiency and intermodality
